PMO director Nasir Uddin Sarwar withdrawn
The government has withdrawn Mohammad Nasir Uddin Sarwar, a director at the Prime Minister's Office (PMO). He has been attached to the Ministry of Public Administration as a deputy secretary.
The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification in this regard on Saturday, July 4.
The notification stated that Mohammad Nasir Uddin Sarwar has been withdrawn from the PMO and attached to the Ministry of Public Administration in the public interest. However, no specific reason for his withdrawal was mentioned in the notification.
Mohammad Nasir Uddin Sarwar served as an executive magistrate in various parts of Dhaka during the student-public movement of 2024. According to information from the Dhaka Deputy Commissioner's office, his name was on a list of executive magistrates who ordered firing during the student movement.
Earlier, during the Awami League government's tenure, he served in various important positions, including as Protocol Officer to the President and Senior Assistant Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration.
