PM's surprise visit to ensure timely attendance at Secretariat
Prime Minister Tarique Rahman made a surprise visit to ensure timely attendance of officials and employees at the Secretariat.
He reached the Secretariat after 9am and directly visited various ministries without going to the formal office on Sunday (March 29).
First, he visited the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources in Building No. 6 and talked to the employees working there. Later, he visited the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock, Water Resources, Women and Children Affairs, and Primary and Mass Education on different floors of the same building.
Then, he visited the Ministry of Housing and Public Works in Building No. 5 and the Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in Building No. 3. In all, he returned to the Cabinet Division after making surprise visits to at least eight ministries.
Meanwhile, as part of the day's other programs, the Prime Minister is scheduled to chair a meeting regarding the Farmers' Card in the morning. The meeting will be attended by ministers and state ministers of the ministries of local government and rural development, finance, agriculture, and fisheries and livestock, as well as relevant officials.
