A microbus caught fire on Jasimuddin Road in Uttara on Wednesday morning (November 12). Police confirmed the fire was caused by a mechanical fault. Fire service units brought the blaze under control by 10.00am. Earlier the same day, a bus of Alif Transport caught fire at Zirabo in Savar. Both vehicles were parked, and no passengers were injured. Ramna Deputy Police Commissioner Masud Alam said a police vehicle also caught fire near Ramna Police Station, with no casualties or evidence of foul play.

রাজধানীর উত্তরায় জসীমউদ্দিন রোডে একটি মাইক্রোবাসে আগুন লেগেছে। বুধবার (১২ নভেম্বর) সকালে খবর পেয়ে ফায়ার সার্ভিসের দুটি ইউনিট সকাল ১০টায় আগুন নিয়ন্ত্রণে আনে। পুলিশ জানিয়েছে, মাইক্রোবাসে আগুন লাগার কারণ ‘যান্ত্রিক ত্রুটি’। একই দিনে সাভারের জিরাবো এলাকায় আলিফ পরিবহনের একটি বাসেও অগ্নিকাণ্ডের ঘটনা ঘটে। তবে উভয় বাসই পার্কিংয়ে থাকায় কোনো যাত্রী উপস্থিত ছিলেন না। ঢাকা মহানগর পুলিশের রমনা বিভাগের উপ-পুলিশ কমিশনার মাসুদ আলম জানিয়েছেন, রাজধানীর রমনা থানার সামনে পুলিশের একটি গাড়িতেও আগুন লেগেছে। এতে কোনো হতাহতের খবর পাওয়া যায়নি এবং কোনো দুর্বৃত্তের হস্তক্ষেপের কোনো তথ্য পাওয়া যায়নি।
