Potatoes from 3 countries to be imported through 9 more stations

From now on, potatoes from India, Nepal and Bhutan can be imported through 9 more customs stations in the country.

The National Board of Revenue (NBR) has said that these potatoes can be imported through the relevant customs stations until March 31.

The NBR gave this information in a notification on Monday (January 20).

The customs stations are Rahanpur in Chapainawabganj, Sonahat in Kurigram, Dhanua Kamalpur in Jamalpur, Nakugaon in Sherpur, Gobarakara and Karuitoli in Mymensingh, Tamabil, Zakiganj and Sheola in Sylhet.

According to sources, potatoes from India, Nepal and Bhutan can be imported through the Rahanpur customs station in Chapainawabganj.

And potatoes from India and Bhutan will be imported through the Sonahat customs station in Kurigram.

Apart from this, Indian potatoes will be imported through Dhanua Kamalpur in Jamalpur, Zakiganj and Shewla customs stations in Sylhet.

Along with this, Nepal, Bhutan and Indian potatoes will come through Tamabil in Sylhet and Nakugaon customs stations in Sherpur.

On the other hand, Indian and Bhutan potatoes will come through Gobarakara and Karuitoli customs stations in Mymensingh.

Incidentally, usually the list of which products can be imported through a specific customs station is fixed by the NBR. As part of this, potatoes have been added to the list of imported products of these 9 customs stations.
