The Ministry of Religious Affairs has officially launched pre-registration for the 2027 Hajj, allowing prospective pilgrims to begin the mandatory registration process in line with Saudi Arabia's newly announced Hajj roadmap.

According to a ministry directive issued on Wednesday (July 1), intending pilgrims must complete their pre-registration by September 26, 2027.

Authorities have urged all eligible applicants to complete the process within the stipulated deadline to secure eligibility for the pilgrimage.

The registration timeline follows the 2027 Hajj roadmap unveiled by Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Hajj and Umrah during a ceremony in Jeddah on May 29.

Representing Bangladesh, Religious Affairs Adviser Kazi Shah Mofazzal Hossain (Kaikobad) attended the event and formally received the roadmap on behalf of the government.

Under the schedule announced by Saudi authorities, the bilateral Hajj agreement between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia is expected to be signed on November 8, while Hajj visa issuance is scheduled to begin on January 28, 2027.

The first Hajj flights are tentatively expected to commence on April 8, 2027. Subject to the sighting of the moon, the Day of Arafah (9th of Dhul Hijjah) is expected to fall on May 15, 2027, when the annual Hajj pilgrimage will take place.

The ministry said the early registration process is aimed at ensuring smoother planning and timely completion of all Hajj-related formalities.

The report outlines the launch of the pre-registration process for Hajj 2027 by the Ministry of Religious Affairs in Bangladesh, following the roadmap provided by Saudi Arabia.
