President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has called for following the ideals of peace, justice, tolerance and humanity of the Great Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) on the occasion of holy Eid-e-Miladunnabi (PBUH). He urged everyone to come forward to establish a justice-based society and state founded on equality, harmony and humanity by shunning hatred, enmity, division and injustice.
In a message given on the occasion of holy Eid-e-Miladunnabi (PBUH) tomorrow, the President extended heartfelt greetings and congratulations to the countrymen and all Muslims of the world on Tuesday (August 25).
In the message the President said that for the guidance, welfare and emancipation of mankind the Almighty Allah sent the last Prophet and Messenger Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) to the earth. His arrival is one of the most important and epoch-making events in human history. The Great Prophet (PBUH) showed the path of peace, welfare and emancipation for the entire mankind irrespective of race, religion, colour and community.
The President noted that through his life and deeds the Great Prophet (PBUH) set unique examples of truth, justice, forgiveness, compassion and human dignity. Along with establishing the rights of orphans, the poor, the helpless and the deprived, he gave clear directions for protecting the rights of women, children, neighbours and working people. The teachings of human dignity, equality, justice and mutual sense of responsibility that he gave in the Farewell Hajj sermon remain equally relevant today.
Against the backdrop of wars, conflicts, violence, discrimination and intolerance in the present world, the need to follow the ideals of the Great Prophet (PBUH) has increased further, the President observed. He said that on this holy occasion of Eid-e-Miladunnabi one must take a pledge, inspired by the life ideals of the Great Prophet, to eliminate hatred, enmity, division and injustice from society.
At the end of the message the President prayed to the Almighty Allah for peace, welfare and mercy for all people of Bangladesh and the world. At the same time he prayed to Allah for the tawfiq to follow the life and ideals of the Great Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH).
