President gets deputy press secretary, assistant press secretary

The government has appointed two officials from the information cadre to new posts in the President's Press Wing. Deputy Chief Information Officer of the Directorate of Information Molla Ahmed Kutubuddin has been appointed as Deputy Press Secretary, while SM Rahat Hasnat has been given the responsibility of Assistant Press Secretary.

A notification published said that the jobs of these officials of the Directorate of Information have been assigned to the President's Office and the order will come into effect immediately on Tuesday.

Currently, Md. Sarwar Alam is serving as the President's Secretary with the rank of Secretary. In the new move of the government, two officials have been newly added to the President's Press Wing.

It is worth noting that after the mass uprising, the interim government removed all the officials of the President's Press Wing. Then, after the formation of the BNP government, President Mohammed Shahabuddin reappointed the previous Press Secretary Sarwar Alam to the same post.
