President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir is scheduled to arrive at Bangabhaban on Sunday (August 23), a day after taking oath as the country's 23rd president.

The new president is scheduled to leave his official residence on Minto Road for Bangabhaban at 11am, according to sources at the President's Office. Preparations have been completed to formally welcome him at the presidential palace.

Upon his arrival, a smartly turned-out contingent of the President Guard Regiment (PGR) will accord him a guard of honour.
