President visits hospital to see power minister Tuku

President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir visited Ibrahim Cardiac Hospital in Dhaka on Wednesday morning (September 2) to see BNP Standing Committee member and Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Iqbal Hassan Mahmood Tuku, who is undergoing treatment for a heart condition.

The president reached the hospital around 9:30am and spoke with the doctors treating Tuku to inquire about his condition, BNP Media Cell member Shairul Kabir Khan said.

Tuku was admitted to Ibrahim Cardiac Hospital after developing a heart-related complication and was later moved to the hospital’s Coronary Care Unit (CCU), according to reports.

No detailed medical information about the minister’s condition has been released so far.
