Prime Minister attends UHFPO conference in Dhaka
Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has attended a national conference of Upazila Health and Family Planning Officers (UHFPPO) held in Dhaka on Saturday (April 18).
The event, organised by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, took place at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium around 11:00am.
Officials said the conference aims to strengthen grassroots healthcare delivery and modernise the activities of upazila-level health and family planning officers, while also providing government directives and reviewing field-level operations.
During the programme, the Prime Minister distributed awards to the best-performing upazila health and family planning officers.
Senior officials including Health Services Division Secretary Mohammad Kamruzzaman Chowdhury, Director General of Health Services Professor Prabhat Chandra Biswas, Health Minister Sardar Md Sakhawat Hossain Bakul, and Health State Minister Dr. M A Muhit were also present, along with other ministry officials.
