'Prime Minister Gold Cup' football tournament starts in secondary schools
After the primary school Gold Cup football tournament, the government is going to organize a new football tournament called 'Prime Minister Gold Cup' for secondary school students. This competition is scheduled to start from next month. The Prime Minister himself will be involved in the organization and will present the prizes to the winners.
This information was given by the Prime Minister's Education Adviser Mahdi Amin on Wednesday (July 8).
He said that plans have been made to organize various competitive activities throughout the year to enhance the skills, creativity, leadership and teamwork of the students, not just by limiting them to textbooks and exams.
Mahdi Amin said that after the football tournament at the primary level and the innovation competition at the secondary and higher secondary levels, the 'Prime Minister Gold Cup' is starting now. In addition, video, documentary and other creative competitions will also be organized with the participation of students, so that they can highlight their successes, innovations and potential.
He also said that the government is working on short, medium and long-term plans in the education sector. Instead of establishing new educational institutions, priority is being given to developing the infrastructure of existing schools, improving the skills of teachers, modernizing technical education and revising the current curriculum.
The education adviser said that the government is not formulating a new curriculum; rather, the work of necessary additions, deletions and revisions to the existing curriculum is underway. In addition to correcting various errors in the textbooks, a few new subjects will also be added. The government's goal is to make the full reflection of education reforms visible by 2028.
Mahdi Amin said, we do not just want certificate-based education. Our goal is to build an education system where students develop skills, abilities, the ability to work in teams and develop themselves as good citizens.
At this time, he urged the media to highlight the problems and irregularities of the education system, as well as to publish the success and inspirational stories of students from different parts of the country.
