Professor BM Abdul Hannan has been appointed as the new director of the college and administration branch of the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education. Prior to this, he served as the special officer in the directorate. The related order was issued on Sunday (April 6), signed by Mohammad Mahbub Alam, the Deputy Secretary of the Secondary and Higher Education Division of the Ministry of Education. After the resignation of Professor Nehal Ahmed, the Director General of the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) on August 5, Professor Rezaul Karim from the college and administration branch was appointed as the Acting Director General of the Directorate. Since then, the position of director had remained vacant.

শিক্ষা প্রশাসনের শীর্ষ দপ্তর মাধ্যমিক ও উচ্চ শিক্ষা অধিদপ্তরের কলেজ ও প্রশাসন শাখার নতুন পরিচালক হিসেবে পদায়ন পেয়েছেন অধ্যাপক বি এম আব্দুল হান্নান। এর আগে তিনি অধিদপ্তরে বিশেষ ভারপ্রাপ্ত কর্মকর্তা ছিলেন। রোববার (৬ এপ্রিল) শিক্ষা মন্ত্রণালয়ের মাধ্যমিক ও উচ্চ শিক্ষা বিভাগের উপসচিব মো. মাহবুব আলমের সই করা এ সংক্রান্ত আদেশ জারি করা হয়। গত ৫ আগস্টের পর মাউশির মহাপরিচালক প্রফেসর নেহাল আহমেদ পদত্যাগ করার পর অধিদপ্তরের (কলেজ ও প্রশাসন) প্রফেসর রেজাউল করিমকে অধিদপ্তরের ভারপ্রাপ্ত মহাপরিচালকের পদে পদায়ন করা হয়। এরপর থেকে পরিচালক পদটি শূন্য ছিল।
