Prothom Alo and Daily Star offices come under attack

The offices of national newspapers Prothom Alo and Daily Star are being attacked and vandalized.

The attacks began at 12am on Friday.

Tejgaon Police Station Officer-in-Charge Kyashinyu Marma said they are trying to stop the attackers.

He said: "I am at the scene. Several hundred people have gathered here and carried out the attack."

However, he could not confirm who took part in the attack.

In a live video circulating on social media it has been seen that several hundreds people were carried out the attack and vandalism.

Several journalists are reportedly trapped inside.
