Public notice soon for vacancies in MPO-listed institutions: Minister
A new public notice will be published soon to resolve the teacher crisis in the country's MPO-listed educational institutions, said Education Minister Dr. ANM Ehsanul Haque Milon.
He gave this information in response to a question from Rangpur-4 constituency MP Akhtar Hossain in the budget session of the National Parliament on Sunday.
The minister said that a list of 77,799 vacancies has been collected through e-registration in MPO-listed schools, colleges, madrasas, technical and business management educational institutions. The process of publishing public notices for recruitment to these posts is underway.
He also said that the government is giving utmost importance to resolving the teacher crisis. The necessary information for filling vacancies in government secondary schools has been sent from the Education Ministry to the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC).
Apart from this, he mentioned that the Non-Government Teachers Registration and Certification Authority (NTRCA) is conducting the teacher recruitment recommendation process in a fully automated manner based on the national merit list.
The minister said that a total of 53,340 teachers, including 41,627 on August 19, 2025 and 11,713 on January 28, 2026, have been recommended for recruitment in various MPO-listed institutions.
He said that once the ongoing recruitment process is completed, the teacher crisis in various educational institutions of the country will significantly reduce and teaching activities will become more dynamic.
