Following the court's verdict on the rape and brutal decapitation of minor girl Ramisa Akhter in the capital's Pallabi area, the victim's father has expressed absolute satisfaction with the judgment and demanded its swift execution.

When journalists inquired about his reaction to the verdict, the victim's father, Abdul Hannan Mollah, shared his feelings, stating, "Alhamdulillah, I am one hundred percent happy with the verdict" on Sunday afternoon (June 7).

Elaborating on his reaction, Abdul Hannan Mollah told reporters, "Through this verdict, the expectations and aspirations of my heart have been fulfilled. Insha'Allah, I am fully optimistic that the sentence will be executed swiftly. By the grace of Almighty Allah and within the timeframe set by the Prime Minister, we have received our desired judgment."

He added, "I express my heartfelt gratitude to the police administration, journalists, and the people of Bangladesh who stood by me and my family with emotional support during our time of peril. I dynamic absolutely want to see the execution of my daughter's murder verdict carried out as quickly as possible."

Earlier in the day, the Dhaka Child Violence Suppression Tribunal announced the verdict in the case. Judge Masroor Salekin sentenced the prime accused Sohel Rana and his wife Swapna Khatun to death under Section 9(2) of the Women and Children Repression Prevention Act.

Furthermore, the court fined Sohel Rana 500,000 BDT and Swapna Khatun 200,000 BDT, directing that the fine amount be paid to the legal heirs of the victim, Ramisa. The court also ordered that if the convicts fail to pay the fine, the compensation must be recovered by selling their movable and immovable properties.
