Rangpur police commissioner Abdul Mabud removed

Abdul Mabud, commissioner of Rangpur Metropolitan Police, has been transferred following the much-discussed four murder incident. In his place, DIG of the Police Special Branch Mahbubur Rashid has been given charge as the new commissioner of Rangpur.

This reshuffle was made in a notification signed by Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs Taufif Ahmed on Tuesday. It may be mentioned that Abdul Mabud took charge as commissioner of Rangpur Metropolitan Police on August 12. He has been transferred again only 13 days after taking charge.

Further reshuffles have also been informed in the same notification. In it, Deputy Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police Aslam Uddin has been attached to the Police Headquarters. Besides, Additional Police Super of Noakhali Mohammad Nurul Amin has been attached to the APBn and Specialized Training Centre in Khagrachhari.
