Remain vigilant against secret conspirators: Tarique Rahman

BNP Chairperson Tarique Rahman has said that if the people of Bangladesh elect the sheaf of paddy and the BNP forms the government, everyone must join hands in rebuilding the state. He stated, "We have seen off the autocrats, now we must start the work of building the country; no one will come from outside to build it for us."

He said, "We have many challenges ahead of us. This is a country of nearly 20 crore people. We must arrange employment for everyone. We must establish a good education system for the future children of this country. There is traffic congestion in various parts of the whole country, roads must be repaired. In the last 15 years alone, we have seen mega projects happen, and mega corruption happen. This situation must change. For that, we seek the people's support. Remain vigilant regarding the secret conspirators."

Tarique Rahman made this call while addressing a rally at the Banani Kamal Ataturk ground in the Dhaka-17 constituency at 12:30 pm on Monday, after concluding election campaigning.

Tarique Rahman said, "This much-anticipated election of Bangladesh is set to be held this coming Thursday. For this election, many people of Bangladesh have been victims of murder over the past 16 years, countless people have been killed in the July movement. Now, let us build Bangladesh, we must change the fate of the country's people, we must take the country forward. BNP is the only political party before you with a programme that can implement this. So, give BNP the opportunity. Inshallah, BNP will build the country in the coming days with you by our side. Our main goal is to rebuild the country. Since the country is ours, no one will come from outside to build this country and leave. We have to build this country ourselves. Just as one must manage one's own household, we have to build this country ourselves. As a candidate for the Dhaka-17 constituency, I ask for everyone's vote for the sheaf of paddy."

Briefly outlining what BNP will do and its plans if it comes to power, Tarique Rahman said, "Many expectations arise among people surrounding an election. Naturally, especially for a political party like BNP, people not just in Dhaka city but across the country have many expectations. And to fulfil those expectations, we will work, we will build the country; first and foremost, Bangladesh."

Speaking at a rally organised at the Kola Bagan Krira Chakra ground in the Dhaka-10 constituency after the Banani rally, Tarique Rahman said, "For the democracy-loving people of the country who want to change the fate of the people of this country. But a group, their activists have been caught making fake ballot seals. Those who go to houses and mislead mothers and sisters, asking for their bKash numbers, asking for their NID numbers – you must remain vigilant against these secret conspirators. Otherwise, the right to vote that we have been able to establish at the cost of hundreds of martyrs' blood and sacrifice will be lost again. That right will again get caught in the web of conspiracy. You must be cautious today, be vigilant against those who make fake seals."

He said, "If we remain cautious, no one can hold Bangladesh back; if we remain cautious, no one can stop that momentum of Bangladesh, no one can halt the pace of changing the fate of the people of Bangladesh."
