No trace of schoolgirl missing for eight days in Rajshahi’s Charghat
A 14-year-old schoolgirl has gone missing from Charghat upazila in Rajshahi, with no trace of her even eight days after she left home for school, police and family sources said.
The missing student, Umaiya Busra, is a Class X student of Nandangochi Girls’ High School. She is the daughter of Md. Mizanur Rahman and Mst. Selena Begum of Habibpur (Toajer Mor) village.
According to family members, she left home around 8:00 am on April 30 for school but did not return. Despite searches in nearby areas and with relatives, her whereabouts remain unknown.
A general diary (GD) was filed at Charghat Police Station on the same day.
Family members said they are living in deep distress as there has been no breakthrough in the investigation. They alleged that despite informing law enforcement authorities, there has been no visible progress in locating the student.
Police said efforts are ongoing to trace the missing girl.
Umaiya Busra is described as fair-skinned, with a round face, long black hair, and approximately five feet in height. She was wearing a salwar kameez at the time of her disappearance.
Authorities have urged anyone with information regarding her whereabouts to contact Charghat Police Station or call the family at 01774476185 immediately.
