Salahuddin urges governance to prevent return of fascism
BNP Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed has called for state governance to be structured in a way that prevents the re-emergence of fascism in the country.
Speaking at a financial assistance event organized by Amra BNP Poribar at the BNP Chairperson’s office in Gulshan on Sunday, Salahuddin emphasized the need for both political and societal reform.
"To build a humane state, mental reform among politicians involved in state restructuring, as well as a shift in the public's social mindset, is essential," he said. "Without these changes, true reform cannot be achieved."
Referring to those killed and injured in anti-fascist movements over the past 16 years as national heroes, he lamented the lack of recognition and documentation.
"It is unfortunate that we still do not have a complete list of the July martyrs," he added.
The event concluded with the distribution of medical assistance to individuals who were injured or remain ill due to their participation in various democratic movements and mass uprisings.
