Salman, Anisul, and 7 others shown arrested in new case

Salman F. Rahman, Advisor to Sheikh Hasina on Private Industry and Investment, former Law Minister Anisul Huq, and seven others have been shown arrested in connection with cases related to the anti-discrimination movement in the Jatrabari area of the capital.

The investigating officers presented them in court on Wednesday (July 9) and requested their arrest in connection with these cases. In response to the request, Dhaka's Metropolitan Magistrate, Masum Mia, ordered their arrest.

The other individuals arrested in connection with the case include Amir Hossain Amu, Dr. Dipu Moni, Zunaid Ahmed Palak, former IGP Shahidul Haque, former Secretary Jahangir Alam, former MP Kazi Monirul Islam Monu, and Abul Hasan, the former officer-in-charge (OC) of Jatrabari police station.
