Salman, Palak among 6 shown arrested in new cases

Former Industry and Private Sector Affairs Adviser Salman F. Rahman, former ministers Hasanul Haque Inu, Shajahan Khan, Zunaid Ahmed Palak, former Mayor of Dhaka North City Corporation Atiqul Islam, and lawyer Monowar Islam Chowdhury Robin have been shown arrested in connection with multiple murder and attempt to murder cases filed at various police stations in the capital.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Md Sharifur Rahman issued the arrest order after investigation officers apealed to have them officially shown arrested in the relevant cases following the accused presentation before the court at 10:00am on Monday (December 30).

According to the case reports, Salman F Rahman was shown arrested in the Mirpur Police Station murder case, while Zunaid Ahmed Palak was shown arrested in the Shahbagh Police Station murder case. Atiqul Islam was shown arrested in both the Airport Police Station attempted murder case and the Uttara West Police Station murder case. Shajahan Khan was shown arrested in the Hatirjheel Police Station murder case, Hasanul Haque Inu in the Gulshan Police Station murder case, and Monowar Islam Chowdhury Robin in the Uttara West Police Station murder case.
