Saudi ambassador meets PM Tarique Rahman
Saudi Ambassador to Bangladesh Dr Abdullah Zafar H Bin Abia paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.
The meeting took place at the Cabinet Division in the Secretariat at 11 am on Sunday, February 22.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister and the Saudi ambassador exchanged views on various matters of mutual interest. Emphasis was placed particularly on economic cooperation, manpower export and increasing investment in the energy sector. The Saudi ambassador praised various reform initiatives taken by the new Bangladesh government and expressed optimism about further strengthening bilateral relations in the future.
Foreign Minister Dr Khalilur Rahman and Prime Minister's Adviser Humayun Kabir were present at the time.
Earlier, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman arrived at the Cabinet Division in the Secretariat for office at 9:05 am, where Principal Secretary A B M Abdus Sattar welcomed him.
