Scuffle breaks out around State Minister, Ishraque urges against spreading confusion

A scuffle and tense situation broke out among party activists and the general public around State Minister for Liberation War Affairs Ishraque Hossain. The incident occurred near the Parliament building area after a tribute ceremony on Sunday. The State Minister for Liberation War Affairs has issued a statement urging everyone not to spread any confusion regarding the incident.

A video of the scuffle and tension near the Parliament building has already gone viral on social media. It shows heated arguments escalating into a physical altercation among party activists and the public gathered around State Minister Ishraque Hossain. The situation grew more tense when the minister himself stepped in to calm things down. Some individuals attempted to humiliate the State Minister from behind. At one point, a police officer tried to escort him to safety.

In a statement signed by the State Minister's Press Officer Mahfuz Kabir, everyone has been urged not to spread any misleading information, rumours or propaganda regarding the incident.

The statement said that after the tribute to the newly appointed Acting President on July 25, when a sudden argument broke out among party leaders, activists and the public, State Minister Ishraque Hossain rushed to the scene to try and bring the situation under control.

It further stated that he stepped in to calm the situation, urged everyone to remain calm and assisted law enforcement in making the blocked road traffic-ready.

The statement claimed that to avoid a clash between the two opposing sides, Ishraque Hossain stood between them to create distance. He later ordered both sides to leave the scene.

It alleged that some quarters, using the viral video, are attempting to misrepresent the incident and spread confusing messages about the State Minister's role, which is completely baseless.

The statement also said Ishraque Hossain is always committed to maintaining discipline and a peaceful environment.

It is being investigated whether there was any provocation or planned attempt to create chaos behind this unwanted incident. Everyone has been urged to refrain from spreading misleading information, rumours and propaganda.
