BNP Standing Committee member and former minister Begum Selima Rahman has been admitted to the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) of United Hospital in the capital after suffering a heart attack. Shairul Kabir Khan, member of BNP's media cell, confirmed the information on Sunday, February 23. According to party sources and family, she suffered a sudden heart attack around 10 pm on Thursday, February 19, and was quickly taken to United Hospital. After examinations, doctors advised keeping her under intensive observation in the CCU. She is currently undergoing treatment there. Family and party have sought prayers from the nation for her speedy recovery and good health.
