Seven more die with measles symptoms, death toll rises to 439

Seven more people have died from confirmed measles and measles-like symptoms in the last 24 hours, according to the Directorate General of Health Services. Among them, one death was confirmed as measles, while six were suspected measles cases.

The information was provided in a press release on Thursday, May 14.

The number of suspected measles patients in the last 24 hours stood at 1,363. From March 15 to May 14, the total number of suspected measles patients has reached 54,419.

Confirmed measles cases in the last 24 hours stood at 155. From March 15 to May 14, the total number of confirmed measles patients has reached 7,305.

A total of 39,160 suspected measles patients have been admitted to hospitals from March 15 to May 14. During the same period, 34,968 patients have recovered and been discharged.

From March 15 to May 14, a total of 369 people have died from suspected measles, and 70 people have died from confirmed measles. The total death toll from measles and its symptoms now stands at 439.
