Seven senior police officers transferred

Seven senior police officers holding the ranks of additional superintendent of police and assistant police commissioner have been transferred in the public interest.

The transfers were announced in a notification signed by Additional DIG Raihan Uddin Khan of the Police Headquarters’ Personnel Management-1 branch on Wednesday (September 23).

Under the order, Manikganj Additional Superintendent of Police Md Abdullah Al Masum has been transferred to the Dhaka Metropolitan Police as an additional deputy commissioner. Additional Superintendent of Police Md Zakirul Hasan of the Dhaka Special Branch has been posted to Barishal as an additional superintendent of police.

Additional Superintendent of Police Imran Ashab of Police Headquarters has been transferred to the Dhaka Special Branch, while Additional Superintendent of Police Mohammad Fayez Uddin of Police Headquarters has been posted to the Anti-Terrorism Unit.

Special Branch Additional Superintendent of Police Md Monirul Haque has been transferred to Kotchandpur Circle in Jhenaidah. Additional Superintendent of Police Md Ashraful Alam of Ulipur Circle in Kurigram has been posted to the Dhaka Special Branch.

Meanwhile, Assistant Police Commissioner Sushanta Majumdar of Barishal Metropolitan Police has been transferred to Rajshahi Metropolitan Police in the same capacity.

The transferred officers have been instructed to hand over charge at their current workplaces and join their new postings by October 3. Those who fail to do so will be considered immediately released from their current posts from October 4, according to the notification.
