Seven-member committee recommended for Sangsad Bangladesh Television programme management
The second meeting of the 'Programme Management Committee', formed to determine programme content, improve programme quality and launch full-fledged broadcasting operations of Sangsad Bangladesh Television, has been held.
The meeting was held at Room No. 1 of the National Parliament Building on Wednesday (September 9). Whip A. B. M. Ashraf Uddin (Nizan) presided over the meeting.
Various aspects of making the programme production and broadcasting operations of Sangsad Bangladesh Television more effective were discussed at the meeting. Opinions and necessary guidance were also given on presenting parliamentary activities to the general public in an easy and attractive manner.
A seven-member committee was recommended to be formed at the meeting with the aim of more systematically selecting programme content and conducting broadcasting operations. Various necessary steps to fully launch Sangsad Bangladesh Television were also discussed at the meeting.
Member of Parliament and Minister of Information and Broadcasting Andaleeve Rahman, along with Members of Parliament Md. Shahidul Islam, Md. Shahadat Hossain, Fahmida Haque, Bithika Binte Hossain and Mardia Mumtaz took part in the meeting.
Also present at the meeting were the Director General of Bangladesh Television, the Director General of Sangsad Bangladesh Television, the Chief News Editor of Channel 24, and concerned officials of the Bangladesh National Parliament Secretariat and Bangladesh Television.
