Shakil battles rare disease, family seeks help for treatment

Shakil, a 16-year-old boy from Netrokona's Durgapur upazila, has been suffering from a rare and complex disease for the past 14 months. Once a healthy child like any other, he has gradually lost mobility and now leads a difficult life, unable to walk or perform daily tasks without assistance.

His father, Jasim Uddin, a day labourer, is the sole earner of the family. With five sons and one daughter, the family struggles to afford basic meals. Local treatment and care in Mymensingh have failed to improve Shakil's condition, and the family cannot afford advanced medical care.
