Shibir wins 9 secretarial posts in DUCSU poll

Chhatra Shibir-backed panel candidates have won nine out of 12 secretarial posts in the Dhaka University Central Students' Union (DUCSU) elections. Independent candidates won the remaining three posts.

This information was revealed from the final results announced by the Election Commission at the Dhaka University Senate Building on Wednesday morning.

DUCSU has 28 posts, including VP, GS, AGS. Of these, 13 are membership posts.

Those who won are – Vice President (VP) – Abu Shadik Kayem, General Secretary (GS) – SM Farhad, Assistant General Secretary (AGS) – Md Mohiuddin Khan, Liberation War and Democratic Movement Secretary – Fatema Tasnim Juma, Science and Technology Secretary – Iqbal Haider, Common Room Reading Room and Cafeteria Secretary – Umme Salma, International Secretary – Jasimuddin Khan, Literature and Cultural Secretary – Musaddiq Ali Ibne Mohammad (Independent), Research and Publication Secretary – Sanjida Ahmed Tonni (Independent), Sports Secretary – Arman Hossain, Student Transport Secretary – Asif Abdullah, Social Services Secretary – Zubair Bin Nesari (Independent), Career Development Secretary – Mazharul Islam, Health and Environment Secretary – MM Al Minhaj, Human Rights and Legal Affairs Secretary Md. Zakaria.
