Social media post on Chhatra League activists' bodies in Turag baseless: Police
Police Headquarters has dismissed as completely baseless the news circulating on social media that "seven Chhatra League leaders and activists' bodies are floating in the Turag river."
In a press release on Saturday evening, June 27, the police headquarters said the information is false, and no such incident has been reported.
The statement added that a vested quarter is intentionally spreading such rumours to create confusion and demoralise law enforcement agencies.
Police urged everyone not to be misled by such propaganda. Those spreading this misinformation will face legal action, the statement said.
