Special flight initiative to bring Bangladeshis back from Bahrain
The Bangladesh Embassy in Bahrain has announced a special flight to bring Bangladeshi expatriates stranded amid the ongoing conflict in the Middle East to back home.
The flight will be operated through Gulf Air, the national carrier of Bahrain.
According to a press release from the embassy on Sunday (March 15), the flight will first travel from Bahrain to Dammam, Saudi Arabia, before proceeding to Dhaka.
Expatriates wishing to return must register by filling out a designated Google form available on the embassy’s official Facebook page. Seat allocation will be on a first-come, first-served basis, and confirmation will depend entirely on Gulf Air’s availability.
The approximate fare has been set at 300 Bahraini dinars per seat, which includes transportation from Bahrain to Dammam by bus and the necessary Saudi transit permits.
The embassy indicated that the flight is likely to depart on March 20 or a nearby date, depending on operational arrangements.
The embassy has urged interested expatriates to complete registration by 10:00 am on March 16 to secure their seats.
