SSC 2026 candidates must follow 14 mandatory instructions
The education boards have published the schedule for the 2026 Secondary School Certificate, SSC, and equivalent examinations. According to the routine, the SSC exams will begin on April 21 and continue until May 20. Examinations will start at 10:00am each day.
As per the Dhaka Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board schedule, the SSC exams will begin with the Bangla paper. Practical examinations will be held from June 7 to June 14 after the written exams.
All documents related to practical and continuous assessment marks must be submitted to the secondary examination branch by June 18, arranged by division and roll number sequence.
The Dhaka Education Board has issued 14 important instructions for SSC candidates. These are—
1. Candidates must take their seats in the examination hall at least 30 minutes before the exam starts.
2. Examinations must be held according to the time mentioned on the question paper.
3. Multiple-choice questions will be held first, followed by creative or theoretical exams, with no break in between.
4. Candidates must collect their admit cards from their respective institution heads at least seven days before the exams begin.
5. Marks obtained through continuous assessment for Physical Education, Health Science and Sports, and Career Education must be provided to the concerned centre by the institutions as per board guidelines. The centre will submit these marks online to the board along with practical exam marks.
6. Candidates must correctly write and fill the circles for roll number, registration number, subject code and other details on the OMR sheet. Answer scripts must not be folded under any circumstances.
7. Candidates must pass separately in creative or theoretical, multiple-choice and practical components.
8. Candidates may sit only for the subjects mentioned in their registration forms. Sitting for any other subject will not be permitted.
9. Distribution of admit cards must be ensured at least seven days before the exam. Institution heads will be held responsible for any complications.
10. Candidates may use calculators approved by the education board.
11. No one except the centre secretary is allowed to bring or use mobile phones at the examination centre.
12. The same attendance sheet must be used for creative or theoretical, multiple-choice and practical exams.
13. Practical examinations will be held at the respective centres.
14. Applications for re-scrutiny must be submitted online within seven days of the publication of results. Details regarding the application process, dates and times will be announced through daily newspapers and education board websites.
