SSC and HSC exams to be held in January and June respectively: Minister

The current government has taken the initiative to rearrange the public examination schedule to make the academic year more timely and in line with international standards. Under this plan, SSC and equivalent exams will be held in January from the next academic year and HSC and equivalent exams in June, said Education Minister Dr. ANM Ehsanul Haque Milon.

He gave this information in response to a starred question by Lutfur Rahman, a member of the government party from Cox's Bazar-3 constituency, in Parliament today.

The minister said that through this decision, it will be possible to bring harmony between the start of the academic year and the public examination schedule in stages and reduce the wastage of students' academic time.

He also said that the government is working to complete the public examinations in stages further in advance.
