SSC, equivalent exam results to be published today
The results of this year's Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations will be published nationwide at 10:00am today (August 10), according to the Dhaka Education Board.
Results will be available simultaneously through students' respective educational institutions and online. Students will also be able to check their results through the education boards' websites and SMS.
The information was announced in a notice issued by the Dhaka Education Board on Sunday, signed by its Examination Controller Professor Jesmin Taslim Banu.
Applications for re-scrutiny of results will open online on August 11 and remain available until August 17, according to the notice.
The SSC and equivalent examinations began on April 21 and continued until May 20. Practical examinations were held afterwards, while the theoretical examinations for the Dakhil and SSC vocational programmes ended on May 24.
The results are traditionally published within two months of completion of the theoretical examinations. Education Minister A N M Ehsanul Haque Milan had earlier said the government was targeting July 20 for the results, but the education boards could not meet that deadline.
A total of 1,857,344 candidates filled out forms to sit for this year's SSC and equivalent examinations. Of them, 1,418,398 registered for SSC, 304,286 for Dakhil and 134,660 for SSC and Dakhil vocational examinations.
