SSC exam results on July 20: Education Minister

SSC exam results will be published on July 20, Education Minister Dr. ANM Ehsanul Hoque Milon said.

He said that this year's secondary exams were conducted in a fair and peaceful environment. It was possible to organize the exams without question leaks or any kind of unwanted incidents, which is the result of the cooperation of all concerned.

Dr. Ehsanul Haque Milon gave this information at a press conference at the conference room of the Ministry of Education at the Secretariat on Thursday.

On the occasion of the fourth month of assuming office, the Education Minister highlighted the ongoing activities and future plans of the Ministry of Education.

He said that the ministry is continuously working to implement reforms, quality improvement and various student-friendly initiatives in the education sector under the 180-day program announced by the government.

Dr. Ehsanul Hoque Milon said that the postponed scholarship exams at the primary and secondary levels were completed immediately after assuming office.

In addition, a long-standing problem has been resolved, where various private and kindergarten schools were not involved in the scholarship examination program.

The scholarship program has been successfully completed by resolving that problem through coordination with all the parties concerned.

Stating that the Ministry of Education has taken a new plan to reduce session congestion, the Education Minister said that arrangements are being made to conduct SSC and HSC examinations immediately after the completion of the curriculum.

For the convenience of students, guardians and educational institutions, the SSC and HSC examination schedule has been announced a year in advance.

He also highlighted various ongoing projects to improve the quality of education. The Education Minister said that the implementation of the projects that are ongoing for the development and modernization of the education sector is continuing.

As part of this, a program to train 120,000 teachers in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) under the National University has been successfully completed. This program was inaugurated by the Prime Minister.

He also said that a nationwide 'Innovation Idea Showcase' has been organized to encourage innovative education programs. The closing ceremony of this program will be held on June 28 and 29.

32 conferences and exhibition programs have been organized in the program and the Honorable Prime Minister is expected to be present.

Highlighting the importance of sports in the physical and mental development of students, Dr. Ehsanul Hoque Milon said that football competitions have been organized for primary school students across the country since April 4.

The competition, which was held with the participation of both boys and girls, will end with the final round at the National Stadium on June 20. The detailed program in this regard will be announced later.

The Education Minister said that one of the government's goals in the education sector is to build a joyful and humane education system.

The government is working with emphasis on various issues including sports, cultural activities, moral education, practice of family values, clothing for students and mid-day meals.
