SSC exams to begin Tuesday, start at 10 AM
The Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations for 2026 are set to begin on Tuesday (April 21) and will continue until May 20.
According to the published routine, the exams will start with Bangla First Paper and will be held daily from 10:00am. Practical examinations are scheduled to take place between June 7 and June 14. All related documents, including practical marks and answer sheets, must be submitted to the board by June 18 following the prescribed procedures.
To ease traffic congestion and public inconvenience, candidates have been instructed to enter their respective exam centres by 8:30am. However, previous rules regarding entry into the examination halls will remain unchanged.
The Dhaka Education Board has issued 14 specific guidelines for candidates. Key instructions include mandatory seating in the exam hall at least 30 minutes before the test begins, holding multiple-choice questions (MCQs) first followed by creative (written) sections without any break.
Candidates must collect their admit cards in advance, correctly fill in OMR sheets, and sit only for subjects listed in their registration. Passing separately in MCQ, written, and practical components is also mandatory.
No one except the centre secretary is allowed to carry or use mobile phones inside the exam centre, although board-approved calculators are permitted.
The board also stated that applications for result re-scrutiny can be submitted online within seven days of result publication, with detailed instructions to be announced through newspapers and official websites.
