SSC re-scrutiny results to be published Thursday

Results of the re-scrutiny of this year’s SSC and equivalent examination papers will be published on Thursday, September 10, at 10am, the Bangladesh Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee said.

Professor Syed Akhtaruzzaman, chairman of the committee and chairman of the Dhaka Education Board, confirmed the schedule on Wednesday (September 9).

This year’s re-scrutiny process has been expanded, with education boards reviewing the answers in the papers submitted for re-evaluation rather than checking only for errors in adding up marks.

Under the previous system, boards generally checked whether marks had been incorrectly added or omitted in an answer script. The full paper was not re-evaluated.

Applications for re-scrutiny were accepted from August 11 to 17. A total of 402,051 candidates across the country’s 11 education boards applied to have their answer scripts reviewed.

The results will show whether the re-evaluation has led to any changes in candidates’ marks, grades or overall results.
