SSC results: 116,676 students score GPA-5, falls by 22,056 from last year
The number of students securing the highest GPA-5 grade in this year’s Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations has dropped significantly, with 116,676 candidates achieving the top grade across 11 education boards.
The figure is down by 22,356 from last year, when 139,032 students obtained GPA-5.
Of this year’s GPA-5 recipients, 63,896 are girls and 52,780 are boys, meaning female students outnumbered their male counterparts by 11,116.
The results of the SSC and equivalent examinations were formally announced at a ceremony held at the Education Ministry’s conference room on Monday morning (August 10).
Education and Primary and Mass Education Minister A N M Ehsanul Haque Milan officially released the results.
The publication of the results ends an anxious wait of nearly two and a half months for around 1.8 million students who sat for the examinations.
