SSC results to be published by July 20: Education Minister

Primary and Mass Education Minister Dr A N M Ehsanul Haque Milon has announced that the results of the SSC and equivalent examinations will be published by July 20. Additionally, the government will begin distributing free school dresses to students from the last week of July.

The minister made the announcement while speaking as the chief guest at the inauguration ceremony of the 'Primary Education Medal Competition 2026' held in Mohammadpur, capital, on Monday morning, June 15.

Hinting at major changes in the education sector, the minister said after 2028, students will no longer have to waste time waiting for long periods after taking HSC examinations. They will be able to enrol in universities as soon as the results are published. This initiative is being taken to eliminate session congestion in the education system.

Regarding textbook revisions, the education minister said it will be ensured that revised and corrected new books reach all schools across the country by December this year, so that students can receive books without any complications at the beginning of the new year.

Emphasising the physical and mental development of students, the minister further said students should not be kept confined only to studying within four walls. Special importance must be given to co-curricular activities alongside academic studies.
