The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has warned of possible storms in Dhaka and four other districts by Saturday evening (April 4), with winds reaching up to 60 km/h. According to the forecast issued for inland river ports from 9:00am to 6:00pm, strong gusts and stormy winds are expected from the west or northwest, accompanied by rain or thunderstorms. The affected districts include Dhaka, Faridpur, Khulna, Cumilla, and Sylhet. River ports in these areas instructed to hoist cautionary signal No. 1 in response to the warning.

রাজধানী ঢাকাসহ দেশের পাঁচ জেলায় সন্ধ্যার মধ্যে ঝড় হওয়ার আশঙ্কা রয়েছে। ঝড়ের সময় ঘণ্টায় সর্বোচ্চ ৬০ কিলোমিটার বেগে বাতাস বইতে পারে বলে জানিয়েছে বাংলাদেশ আবহাওয়া অধিদপ্তর। শনিবার (৪ এপ্রিল) সকাল ৯টা থেকে সন্ধ্যা ৬টা পর্যন্ত দেশের অভ্যন্তরীণ নদীবন্দরের জন্য দেওয়া পূর্বাভাসে এ তথ্য জানানো হয়। পূর্বাভাস অনুযায়ী, ঢাকা, ফরিদপুর, খুলনা, কুমিল্লা ও সিলেট অঞ্চলের ওপর দিয়ে পশ্চিম বা উত্তর-পশ্চিম দিক থেকে ঘণ্টায় ৪৫ থেকে ৬০ কিলোমিটার বেগে দমকা বা ঝোড়ো হাওয়াসহ বৃষ্টি কিংবা বজ্রসহ বৃষ্টি হতে পারে। এ পরিস্থিতিতে সংশ্লিষ্ট এলাকার নদীবন্দরগুলোকে ১ নম্বর সতর্কসংকেত দেখাতে নির্দেশ দেওয়া হয়েছে।
