Tarique Rahman calls for greater public outreach by women reserved-seat MPs
BNP Chairman and Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has suggested increasing public involvement of MPs from reserved women's seats nominated by the party. He also gave directions to carry out humanitarian activities, including highlighting the party's ideology and activities at the grassroots level.
The meeting was held at the Public Administration Meeting Room of the Cabinet Division at the Secretariat, the Prime Minister's Press Wing said on Monday afternoon (May 18). BNP's Self-Help Affairs Co-Secretary and Reserved Women's Seat MP Nilufar Chowdhury Moni confirmed the matter.
Several members who participated in the meeting said that the Prime Minister inquired about the MPs in the meeting and urged them to move forward with women-friendly programs by facing any challenges. During this time, he also discussed the steps taken by the government for the advancement of women. BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi was also present in the meeting.
