Tarique Rahman expresses concern over fire at Korail slum

BNP’s acting chairman Tarique Rahman has expressed concern over the devastating fire that broke out at Korail slum in Dhaka's Mahakhali on Tuesday evening (November 25).

In a statement signed by BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, Tarique Rahman said the blaze spread across parts of the slum and nearby areas, making it difficult for firefighters to bring the situation under control.

He noted that the extent of the damage was still unclear, though many homes had reportedly been destroyed.

Tarique Rahman conveyed sympathy to the families affected by the incident and hoped for a swift end to the blaze without any loss of life.

He also expressed solidarity with the efforts of the fire service and local residents who worked to control the fire.
