Tarique Rahman extends support to janaza victim Nirob Hossain's family
Tarique Rahman, acting chairman of BNP, has expressed solidarity with the family of Nirob Hossain, who died while attending the janaza of former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia in Dhaka’s Manik Mia Avenue.
Nirob Hossain was the father of July war activist Tahsin Hossain Nahiyan.
Following the incident, BNP’s Health Affairs Joint Secretary and Doctors’ Association of Bangladesh (DAB) Vice President Dr. Parvez Reza Kakon visited the family at their residence in Mohammadpur Housing Society on Wednesday night (December 31) on Tarique Rahman’s instructions.
Dr. Kakon said they met Nirob Hossain’s two brothers, Musfiqur Rahman and Bahadur, and conveyed Tarique Rahman’s heartfelt condolences and sympathy to the bereaved family. He added that Nirob Hossain had fallen ill amid the dense crowd at the janaza.
Several BNP and DAB leaders accompanied the visit, including DAB Vice President Dr. A K M Masud Akhtar Jitu, Organisational Secretary Dr. Javed Ahmed, former Organisational Secretary Dr. Syed Imtiaz Sajid, Legal Affairs Secretary Dr. M R Hasan, Dr. Rasel Hossain, Zobayel Alam Pavel and Rakib Hossain.
According to police, the late Nirob Hossain’s ancestral home is in Bauphal Upazila of Patuakhali.
