Tarique Rahman to hold first post-election press conference today

BNP Chairperson Tarique Rahman is set to address a press conference on Saturday afternoon (February 14), marking his first formal media appearance following the 13th National Parliament election.

The press conference will be held at 3:00pm at the hallroom of InterContinental Dhaka in Shahbagh, according to BNP media cell member Shamsuddin Didar.

Tarique is expected to present the party’s official reaction to the recently concluded national election before local and international media.

In the February 12 polls, the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) secured 209 seats, surpassing the 151-seat threshold required to form a government.

Sources within the party said the BNP, under Tarique’s leadership, plans to form a cabinet and assume office swiftly after newly elected lawmakers take their oath.
