Tarique Rahman, wife attend Trump’s dinner for world leaders

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and his wife, Dr Zubaida Rahman, attended a dinner hosted by US President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump for world leaders attending the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.

The dinner was held at the Lotte New York Palace hotel in Manhattan Tuesday night (September 22), bringing together heads of state and government from UN member countries and their spouses.

The gathering provided an opportunity for participating leaders and their spouses to exchange greetings and engage in informal interactions on the sidelines of the UNGA.

Tarique Rahman is in New York for the 81st UNGA, where he is scheduled to deliver his first address to the General Assembly as prime minister on Thursday.

Earlier Tuesday, Tarique Rahman and Zubaida Rahman attended a welcome breakfast hosted by UN Secretary-General António Guterres for heads of state and government and their spouses.

The UNGA week has brought together world leaders for a series of formal sessions, bilateral meetings and diplomatic engagements in New York.
