Tarique Rahman’s final election rally at Nayapaltan on Feb 8

BNP chairperson Tarique Rahman will hold the final public rally of his election campaign on February 8 in front of the party’s central office at Nayapaltan in the capital.

The information was disclosed by BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi at a press conference held at Nayapaltan on Thursday afternoon.

Rizvi said the rally will begin at 2:00 pm in front of the party’s central office, with Tarique Rahman attending as the chief guest.

Party leaders said extensive preparations have been taken in and around Nayapaltan centring on the rally. Necessary instructions have been given to leaders and activists of various party units and affiliated organisations to ensure wide public participation.

According to BNP sources, the party sees the pre-election rally as a final show of strength. Tarique Rahman is expected to speak on election pledges, the ongoing political situation and future plans.

Also present at the press conference were the BNP chairperson’s adviser and election management committee spokesperson Mahdi Amin, BNP joint secretary general Habib Un Nabi Khan Sohel, Chhatra Dal president Rakibul Islam, and other party leaders.
