Sheikh Hasina's energy adviser Tawfiq Elahi's PS Monowar Hossain (50) has been detained by Adabor police station. He was arrested in a special operation on Tuesday (March 4) night. Officer-in-charge of Adabor police station SM Zakaria said that he is accused of resisting students during the anti-discrimination movement. It is worth noting that Monowar Hossain was the co-secretary of the Awami League's central sub-committee. It is known that he was a candidate for the Dhamrai seat.

শেখ হাসিনার জ্বালানি উপদেষ্টা তৌফিক এলাহীর পিএস মনোয়ার হোসেন'কে (৫০) আটক করেছে আদাবর থানা পুলিশ। মঙ্গলবার (৪ মার্চ) দিবাগত রাতে বিশেষ অভিযান চালিয়ে তাকে গ্রেপ্তার করা হয়। এ বিষয়ে আদাবর থানার ভারপ্রাপ্ত কর্মকর্তা এস এম জাকারিয়া জানান, তার বিরুদ্ধে বৈষম্যবিরোধী আন্দোলনে ছাত্রদের বিরুদ্ধে প্রতিরোধ করার অভিযোগ রয়েছে। উল্লেখ্য, মনোয়ার হোসেন আওয়ামী লীগের কেন্দ্রীয় উপ কমিটির সহসম্পাদক ছিলেন।তিনি ধামরাই আসনের মনোনয়ন প্রত্যাশী ছিলেন বলে জানা যায়।
