Teacher suspended for getting student to evaluate HSC answer scripts in Patuakhali

A Bangla lecturer at Chhota Baishdia Business Management Institute in Rangabali upazila of Patuakhali has been temporarily suspended over allegations of having a student evaluate HSC examination answer scripts instead of doing it himself. The action was taken against him on August 3.

The matter was confirmed in a notification from the Ministry of Education's public relations department on Wednesday, August 5.

It stated that a video that recently went viral on various media and social media showed an examiner not evaluating answer scripts himself but having a student evaluate them. It was later learned that the person in the video was Mohammad Ripon Hossain, a Bangla lecturer at Chhota Baishdia Business Management Institute.

When the matter came to the attention of Education and Primary and Mass Education Minister Dr A N M Ehsanul Haque Milon, he directed the concerned authorities to take appropriate action. Following his directive, Mohammad Ripon Hossain was temporarily suspended on August 3 over allegations of negligence in evaluating examination answer scripts.
