The temperature has slightly risen in the past 24 hours. As a result, the effect of cold waves has dropped. It may rain at the end of January, predicts the Meteorological Department.

Meteorologist Tariful Newaz said on Monday, “There is a chance of rain starting Wednesday night, which could increase the temperature. It is unlikely for the temperature to decrease.”

Dinajpur had the country's lowest temperature of 5.7 degrees Celsius until 9.00 am on Monday. Panchagarh's Tantulia had the lowest temperature of the season at 5 degrees Celsius on Sunday. On Monday, Rajshahi, Rangpur, Tangail, Madaripur, Golapganj, Moulvibazar, Feni, Jashore, Chuadanga, Barishal, and Bhola experienced a mild cold wave. The intensity of the cold wave will decrease over the next two days.

Meteorologist Newaz said, “The weather will remain stable for the next 24 hours, followed by a gradual increase in temperature by 1 to 2 degrees celsius over the next two to three days.”

“The duration of cold varies depending on the region. It has been observed that the temperature is rising towards Dhaka, but not significantly towards the north. Nevertheless, the temperature will continue to decrease across the country,” he added.
