Tetulia hits coldest temperature of season
Dense fog and cold winds are causing distress in Panchagarh. While the fog has lessened, workers are struggling against the harsh winds. Drivers are navigating the roads with headlights on.
At 6:00 am on Friday (January 10), Tetulia recorded a temperature of 7.8°C, the lowest of the season.
Previously, on Thursday (January 9) at 6:00 AM, Tetulia's temperature was recorded at 9.5°C, while the day before it was 14.2°C. Since Wednesday (January 8), the temperature in Panchagarh has been gradually dropping.
Meanwhile, the severe cold has led to an increase in cold-related illnesses. Prolonged exposure to the cold weather is making people, especially children and the elderly, more vulnerable to such ailments.
Jitendra Nath Roy, the acting officer of Tetulia Weather Office, stated, "At 6:00 am, the temperature in Tetulia, Panchagarh, was recorded at 7.8°C, marking the lowest of this winter season. The icy cold persists due to the winds, and the temperature is expected to drop further in the coming days."
